Job summaryTo promote multi-disciplinary patient centred care and take responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, primarily. In the absence of senior members take charge of the ward/department on a frequent basis
Main duties of the job- Support the Ward/Departmental Manager and their deputy in the execution of their role.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Work as an associate nurse/deputy team leader taking on the role of named primary nurse and team leader in the absence of a more senior nurse.
- Demonstrate basic leadership skills and participate in the education and supervision of all staff and students.
- Demonstrate an awareness of national and local professional issues.
- Demonstrate a valid input to the professional team at Ward/Department level.
- To undertake family centered care when dealing with the patients and their families.
- To provide information and assistance with child protection issues along with attending case conference, child concern conferences.
- Ensure that all documentation relating to patents are filled in both
