As a Pharmacy Assistant, you'll be a familiar and welcoming face for our patients, supporting the pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks and ensuring the smooth running of the dispensary and shop floor. No two days are the same, and you'll play a vital role in helping people access the medicines and advice they need.
Key responsibilities- Greet customers warmly and provide a helpful, professional service at the counter
- Assist with the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Receive, check and process deliveries, keeping stock tidy and well organised
- Handle prescription queries and direct customers to the pharmacist where appropriate
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the pharmacy
- Support with over-the-counter sales and offer basic health advice within your scope
What we're looking for- A friendly, approachable manner with excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
- Reliability, discretion and respect for patient confidentiality
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided
- A willingness to learn and work towards relevant pharmacy qualifications
