As a Pharmacy Assistant, you'll be the welcoming face of the pharmacy, helping customers with their queries and ensuring prescriptions are handled accurately and efficiently. No two days are the same, and you'll gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional service at the counter
- Assist with the dispensing process under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Receive, label and process prescriptions accurately
- Advise customers on over-the-counter medicines within your scope of training
- Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating products
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised pharmacy environment
- Handle confidential patient information with discretion and care
What we're looking for- A warm, approachable manner with excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A reliable team player who can also use their initiative
- Previous pharmacy or retail experience is desirable but not essential
- A willingness to undertake relevant training, such as the NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, if not already held
