Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Radiographer to join our dedicated team of skilled and supportive professionals, helping to deliver high-quality imaging services to women, children, young people, and families across the West Midlands and beyond.
As one of the largest and busiest specialist radiology services in the country, Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust provides imaging services for approximately 110,000 patients each year across Birmingham Children's Hospital and Birmingham Women's Hospital. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a compassionate, family-centred, and patient-focused diagnostic radiology service, ensuring an excellent experience for children, young people, women, and their families.
The post offers the opportunity to rotate across both the Women's and Children's Hospital sites, gaining experience within a diverse range of specialist clinical areas and supporting a variety of complex patient pathways.

Main duties of the jobTo work as an experienced Specialist Paediatric Radiographer within a multidisciplinary team, undertaking a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging procedures including Major Trauma, Dental, Palatal Studies, Forensic Imaging, Urodynamics, Fluoroscopy, Theatre, Mobile/Portable Imaging, and other examinations in accordance with service requirements and within the scope of professional practice.
The post holder will rotate between Birmingham Children's Hospital and Birmingham Women's Hospital, supporting imaging services across both sites and providing specialist radiographic expertise to children, young people, neonates, women, and their families.
To provide an efficient, effective, responsive, and safe imaging service across both the Children's and Women's hospital sites, supporting acute, elective, inpatient, outpatient, emergency, theatre, neonatal, and specialist care pathways.
To perform imaging examinations to a consistently high technical and professional standard, ensuring image quality is optimised and that all examinations comply with departmental protocols, radiation safety requirements, and professional standards.
The post holder will be required to participate in a 24-hour, 7-day service, including shift work, on-call duties, weekends, and bank holidays, in line with departmental rotas and service needs across both Birmingham Women's Hospital and Birmingham Children's Hospital.

- PACS, RIS and IT experience with good Microsoft knowledge
- Ability to coordinate staff
