This is an exciting opportunity to develop knowledge and experience within a busy paediatric pharmacy service, supporting the safe and efficient supply of medicines and nutritional feeds to patients across the hospital. Working as part of the dispensary team, the post holder will be involved in stock management, procurement, medicines supply, dispensary operations and supporting ward services.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and support from experienced Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists and will play an important role in ensuring high standards of patient care and medicines governance are maintained.

Job responsibilities- Provide day-to-day supervision, training and mentorship to SATOs and Student Pharmacy Technicians.
- Ensure staff operate in accordance with dispensary SOPs, guides and Trust policies.
- Supervise the receipt, storage and supply of medicines and feeds, ensuring activities are completed safely and accurately.
- Support the Lead and Senior Pharmacy Technicians in the management of dispensary operations and service delivery.
- Delegate workload appropriately and monitor completion of routine dispensary activities.
- Promote a positive team culture, maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Ensure staff adhere to Trust health and safety policies, including manual handling requirements.
- Supervise the review and release of paediatric cardiac arrest kits where required.
Person SpecificationEducation and QualificationsEssential- Level 2 Standard in Maths (GCSE grade C or 4)
- Level 2 Standard in English (GCSE Grade C or 4)
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy services
- PWDS Final Accuracy Checking Programme (FACP) or willingness to work towards
- Willingness to undertake Pharmacy service improvements
