Cromwell Road Resource Centre (CRRC) promotes, supports and improves the mental, physical and emotional well-being of individuals with Learning Disabilities, in order that they can participate in their communities and with their families, and enjoy the best life possible.
The aim of the service is to support individuals to remain living in their own homes. An effective service should aim to ensure that this group can participate in and help steer the services required, taking into account their specific needs. The service should also enable service users to make informed decisions and to facilitate access to services across the health, social and voluntary sectors.
The Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management issues, leadership and ongoing development of the CRRC, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality and person-centred services for people with learning disabilities and associated complex needs. The Service Manager will have responsibility for the coordination and oversight of service provision across centre-based and community-based activity, ensuring that care and support is delivered in line with assessed need, agreed outcomes, organisational priorities and relevant statutory, regulatory and professional standards.
Main duties of the jobRole: Service Manager - Day Services
Location: Cromwell Road Resource Centre
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, permanent
Salary: Range 7 £45,987 - £52,434 per annum
- You will support the Operational Manager to achieve strategic and service objectives for identified service area. Ensure delivery and ongoing monitoring of identified objectives.
- You will be responsible for the recruitment selection and employee relation matters including, conduct, capability and ill health, referring to the Operational Manager as appropriate.
- You will lead on risk management issues within the service area including advising on the development of complex risk assessment as required ensuring that community and centre based workplace environments are suitable. Liaise with CPGs Health and Safety Manager about wider health and safety issues.
- You will be responsible for management and co-ordination covering centre based curriculum, promoting community access and inclusion and individualised packages and complete Best Interest Assessments.
- You will work within Care Plus Groups health and safety at work regulations, the post holder will assess and record the safety and well-being of service users including following agreed risk management.
- You will have overall responsibility for reviewing and evaluating service policies, procedures and standard operating procedures. Ensure that Medication policies and procedures are met and reviewed in line with statutory guidance and best practice.
