Main duties of the jobThe successful applicants will participate in our six-monthly rotation scheme and will have the opportunity to work across a range of acute, intermediate rehab and community settings. The role involves close working with other members of the MDT and requires motivation and skill to deliver the high-quality services to the local population. Rotations on offer include respiratory, MSK outpatients (including aquatic therapy), neurology (including ABI and stroke rehabilitation), orthopaedics, amputee management, joint community rehabilitation, and rehabilitative services.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Diploma / degree in physiotherapy Current registrant as required by HPC
- Post-graduate qualification or proven equivalent experience / training in a relevant field
- Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable- Post graduate qualifications in a relevant topic
- Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
ExperienceEssential- Full range of undergraduate placements
- 2 years post graduate experience within an acute hospital environment
- Completion of core rotations (must include orthopaedics, MSK, neurology and respiratory)
Desirable- Experience as a band 6 physiotherapist
- Experience within acute neurological rehabilitation services
SkillsEssential- Confident with core physiotherapy skills
- Will have the ability to carry out physiotherapy assessment and intervention incorporating manual physiotherapy techniques, therapeutic handling and safe use of equipment, using the skills of highly developed dexterity, co-ordination and palpatory senses
- Flexible approach to work so able to work alone and within an MDT
