Our Perinatal Mental Health Service Team -- Mother and Baby Unit currently has an exciting opportunity to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Workers to join the team.

Our Mother and Baby Unit provide 24/7 specialist care and treatment for mothers with their babies when they are suffering with mental illness.

On the Mother and Baby Unit you will be joining an extremely supportive, nurturing, and motivated team. We are consistently striving to improve our service and provide the best possible care for the mothers and babies we support and their wider families. We value every member of our team.

Main duties of the job
The Mother and Baby Unit provide inpatient care and treatment for mothers with their babies when they are suffering with mental illness. The role involves providing high quality of care and perinatal support to antenatal and post-natal mothers in the ward.

This role involves shifts work, weekends and nights.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Working as a team player.
• Provide perinatal support to antenatal and post-natal mothers in the ward.
• Provide high quality of care and emotional support at all times.
• Participate in assessment of needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for mothers and their babies.
• To maintain our service users' confidentiality and adhere the Trust's Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications
Essential

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent in a relevant area gained through experience, on the job training, short courses and completion of work based competencies.
