Job summaryWe wish to recruit a 9.5 PA locum Consultant Gynaecologist and Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Subspecialist for a period of 6 months, with a view to substantiating this post. The post includes a regular weekly operating list, regular weekly egg collection and embryo transfer lists, fertility and general gynaecology clinics and on call commitment at St Mary's for Gynaecology and Wolfson Fertility Unit weekend egg collection/embryo transfer lists.
Main duties of the jobThis post will mainly involve working in the WFC Fertility Unit at Hammersmith Hospital but also includes regular operating lists, clinics and on calls for gynaecology and the IVF unit.

We require the post holder to be RCOG sub-speciality accredited in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery.
Person SpecificationEducation/ Qualifications- On GMC's register with a Licence to Practice or eligible to apply for GMC registration and a Licence to Practice
- RCOG Subspecialist accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery
- On GMC's Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the register by the date of the interviews or eligible for specialist registration
- Appropriate Royal College Membership
- MD, PhD or equivalent
Knowledge/ Skills- RCOG accreditation for Subspecilaist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery or within six months of being accredited
- IT Skills and computer literacy
Leadership/ Management Skills- Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority
- Have proven skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues
- Knowledge of finance/budgets
- Management of staff
Teaching & Training- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff
Audit- Understanding of principles of clinical audit
Academic achievement- Evidence of achievement appropriate to appointment at consultant level at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Language- Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements
