Job summaryThe Isle of Wight NHS Trust are searching for an experienced and passionate Band 6 CT Radiographer to join their highly skilled team.
Main duties of the jobTo conduct a wide range of CT scans upon a range of patient types, both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi-professional team, in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal standards and requirements.
Participate in the out of hours on call rota. Radiographers practice will involve lone working in particular specialties and at particular times.
Patient presentation will include the unconscious, uncooperative, incapacitated, incompetent, disorientated and those with physical and mental disabilities. A wide variety of patients will be encountered and will include those exhibiting anti-social behaviour including both un-convicted and legally convicted e.g. prisoners.
Other influencing factors include the skills needed to provide patients or relatives with empathy and emotional support for the bereaved, terminally ill, injured, traumatised or those altered by substance use/abuse.

Job responsibilities- To assist in and manage workflow and ensure all data inputs are recorded for both patient record integrity and statistical evaluation purposes.

- To encourage the highest professional and technical standards in all staff using personal example and constructive supervision.
- Demonstrate partnership in professional development issues maintaining a high level of technical and theoretical skills through personal CPD.
QualificationsEssential- Diploma of College of Radiographers or BSc equivalent
- State Registration with the Health & Care Profession Council
ExperienceEssential- Extensive knowledge of Clinical Governance within the NHS
- Evidence of multidisciplinary team working
- Experience in CT/MR
- Experience in student supervision
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
