Job summaryAn experienced GP Practice Nurse is required.
We require 15 hours per week over 3 days - days and times to be discussed at interview.
Interviews will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 7th October 2026.
Main duties of the jobGeneral Practice Nurse duties to include:
- Cervical Smears
- Asthma/COPD/Diabetic reviews
- Childhood Immunisations
- Travel Immunisations
- Contraception
- Wound Checks & Dressing Changes
- Suture Removal
About usWe are a two partner (one female/one male) GP Practice. Our clinical staff also comprises of a salaried GP (male), a Practice Nurse, ANP, HCA and a GPA. We also have a full admin team of receptionists, secretary, coding and chronic disease management recall.

Job responsibilitiesDaily duties include:
- Chronic Disease Management - Asthma/COPD/Diabetic reviews
- Cervical Screening
- Immunisations - childhood, travel, B12, Depo
- Wound care
QualificationsEssential- GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths
- Registered General/Practice Nurse
- Qualified in the following and recent updates:
- Smear Taking,
- Dressing Changes,
- Chronic Disease Management,
- Childhood Immunisations.
Desirable- Previous experience of working in GP Practice.
- Knowledge of EMIS Web
- Driving License (preferable but not essential).
ExperienceEssential- Previous/current experience of working in Primary Care.
- Previous/current experience of working in a GP Practice and being fully trained and have awareness of QOF and Long Term Conditions.
Desirable- Experience of working within a nursing team
Knowledge and SkillsEssential- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Awareness of QOF.
