Job summaryTrust Grade Registrar - Cardiology
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be assigned a supervisor from the beginning and will receive training in cardiac imaging, bradycardia pacing and coronary angiography (depending on experience/competence) over a two year period. They will receive full exposure to both elective and non-elective cardiology. Participation in 1 in 8 Cardiology middle grade oncall rota. The appointee will also be encouraged to undertake research and audit, as well as attendance at regional and national educational meetings. He/she will also actively participate in our busy educational programme of teaching under and postgraduates.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- 3 years at SHO level (F2/CT equivalent)
- Full MRCP completed
- Supervision of FY1/FY2
- 1 year at Registrar level
- GMC Registration
Skills / ExperienceEssential- Experience in cardiology (at Registrar level)
- Competency in Echocardiography
- Understanding of audit and commitment to personal and departmental audit
Desirable- Evidence of quality improvement
