Working within the NMC Code of Conduct and professional boundaries, the post holder will deliver primary health care interventions and care. The post holder will support service development, the safe delivery of policy and procedures, and demonstrate effective professional nurse standards, advocacy and performance. We are a well-established semi-rural practice with a growing patient list size of over 10,600. We have a mix of Partner GPs, nursing team and social prescribers. For many years we have been at the forefront embracing innovations in General Practice, to the benefit of both our patients and staff. As part of the nursing, you will be delivering a multi function service such as Cervical Smears, Wound Care, Travel advice and treatment room functions. We have a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our nursing team. We are looking for someone with a passion for primary care and the drive to support our clinical service.

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a primary care setting
- Involvement in implementing and using protocols and clinical guidelines
- Experience of managing/dealing with the public/patients
- Experience of audit and/or research
- Proactive in improving and influencing the patient care pathway/journey
- Demonstrates the ability to manage clinical risk and has an understanding of healthcare governance systems
- Experience of using clinical systems and Microsoft office
Desirable- Management of long-term conditions
- Participation in quality initiatives such as clinical benchmarking
- Experience of SystmOne
QualificationsEssential- Registered Nurse
- Degree in healthcare/Nursing
- NMC 1st level registration
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Mentorship course or equivalent
Desirable- Primary Care Nursing Qualification
- Accredited Diploma level training in chronic disease management
- Clinical supervision training and experience
