Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, innovative and compassionate leader to strengthen the nursing leadership across our access/urgent care and community service line within the Fylde Coast Network.
The post holder will be responsible for the leadership and management of all key aspects of the nursing and quality portfolio and associated aims and objectives, whilst supporting and reporting to the Director and Deputy Director of Nursing. Line management and development of matron roles is included within the role as is supporting the development of staff across an array of disciplines whilst strengthening a positive and collaborative culture.
Main duties of the jobWorking as part of a multi-disciplinary leadership team, the post holder will lead and be responsible for the delivery of safe, clinically effective and compassionate person-centred care, and provide assurance and evidence to the Network Director of Nursing & Quality and Chief Nurse regarding compliance against all appropriate professional, organisational and national standards.
The successful candidate will be experienced and passionate about the nursing care delivered to patients and be motivated in relation to engagement of service users and carers in all aspects all care. The candidate will have clinical leadership and management experience, exceptional communication skills, and will be able to motivate and influence others.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Registered Nurse (MH or LD) with current professional registration
- Master's Degree in relevant subject or equivalent knowledge & experience
- Management/Leadership qualification
KnowledgeEssential- Extensive knowledge of relevant legal frameworks such as the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
- Thorough understanding of the policy/standards agenda in relation to clinical practice, and an understanding of the broader policy drivers pertinent to healthcare delivery
- Ability to manage, supervise and support staff; including in challenging and contentious situations
- Ability to contribute to strategic planning
ExperienceEssential- Post registration experience
- Experience of senior clinical leadership and change management
- Experience of implementing improvement methodology and influencing and motivating staff to improve services and patient experience
- Experience of working across organisational boundaries in the development and provision of services
