About the roleWe are seeking a qualified and motivated High Intensity Psychological Therapist to join our team. The post holders will provide high intensity interventions - predominantly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). They will work with clients who have a range of complex Anxiety and Depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.
The post holders will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and should be committed to equal opportunities.
About youYou will hold a Clinical Qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; typically, the Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT or in High Intensity Psychological Therapies. We also welcome applications from candidates who have other Post-Graduate qualifications in an IAPT appropriate evidence-based therapy.
We welcome applications from trainees approaching formal qualification in any of the above.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a high volume, performance managed service, manage your own caseload and time and be an effective communicator both in written and verbal communication.

- We offer training opportunities in a secondary High Intensity modality once qualified (Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Couples Therapy for Depression), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and the opportunity to trainee as a supervisor and attend the LTC Course. We also have 4 clinical CPD days for every employee planned for 2026/2027.
You will go through our comprehensive training program in your first few weeks with MHM, which will give you the tools you need to succeed in the role, as well as offering a great opportunity to get to know your new colleagues.
MHM offers 27 days annual leave per annum (increasing up to 33), plus statutory holidays and a 5% contributory pension scheme (matched up to 6%).
