Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 Dietitian to join our friendly acute clinical dietetic team.

You will join an enthusiastic and motivated dietetic team and will work closely with the other band 5 dietitians and dietetic assistants, while receiving excellent support from our senior Dietetic team.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload across multiple acute hospital wards with opportunities to rotate across multiple specialist areas.

This post would suit either a band 5 Dietitian looking to develop specialist skills or a newly qualified dietitian seeking support from a highly skilled and experienced team .

Main duties of the job
To act as a source of expertise in the dietary management and treatment of a diverse range of conditions for patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public and the media.

To manage a clinical caseload encompassing but not exclusively in a range of in-patients from medical, surgical, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and care of the elderly wards, and out-patient clinics in both hospital and community settings.

Qualifications
Essential

• BSc (Hons) or postgraduate equivalent in Dietetics
• HCPC/Applied for HCPC.

Desirable

• Member of the British Dietetic Association

Experience
Essential

• Broad range of dietetic placements as a student, with an understanding of the role in the acute hospital setting

Desirable

• Experience of working within in a multi-disciplinary team in an acute hospital setting
