Main duties of the jobAs a Podiatrist, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, helping patients improve mobility, reduce pain, maintain tissue viability, and enhance their quality of life.
You'll be based mainly within the East and West locality clinics across Portsmouth and Southampton, with occasional travel to other sites within the wider service. This variety offers an opportunity, developing professional relationships with health and social care colleagues to ensure seamless, holistic care for patients.

Job responsibilities- Manage your own clinical caseload from referral through to discharge.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of podiatric conditions, including patients with complex health needs such as diabetes, vascular disease, and inflammatory conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based treatments including wound care, ulcer management, nail surgery, local analgesia, neurological and vascular assessments, and pressure redistribution therapies.
- Provide high-quality foot health services within both commissioned NHS pathways and fee-paying clinics.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate electronic patient records and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote health and wellbeing through patient education and public health interventions.
- Contribute to training, mentoring, and the development of colleagues and students where appropriate.
What you'll need- BSc (Hons) in Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
- Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise a varied clinical caseload.
- Strong IT skills and ability to maintain electronic clinical records.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car to travel regularly between clinic locations.
