This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based wound care within a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary environment.
In this role, you will provide specialist assessment and management of complex foot wounds, including those associated with diabetes, vascular disease, and infection. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including vascular, diabetes, and infectious diseases services, contributing to integrated patient care and improved clinical outcomes.
You will also support the development of clinical practice within the podiatry team, providing guidance, education, and mentorship to junior staff and students. Participation in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives will be an important part of the role.
The successful candidate will demonstrate our Trust values and meet the responsibilities outlined in the job description and person specification. Person SpecificationEducation & professional QualificationsEssential- oBSc Degree in Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior to 1992)
- oHealth Professions Council (HPC) registration
- oCertificate in local anaesthesia
- oEvidence or portfolio of post-graduate continued development
Desirable- oEvidence of study or intention to study to masters level qualification
- oNon-Medical Prescribing qualification
ExperienceEssential- oExperience of working at a band 6 level or above in an acute hospital setting with a high risk caseload
