Job Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small, friendly team at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and knowledgeable Cardiac Physiologist to provide excellent care across the full range of cardiac investigations.
Responsibilities:- To provide specialist and advanced assessment of cardiac devices within a range of settings, at an independent practice level under the guidance of the Cardiac Device Lead & Consultant Clinical Scientist. The individual uses discretion to adjust plans and reprogram cardiac devices as the clinical situation/patient needs change.
- To provide direct patient care during Cardiac Device procedures.
- To undertake a range of cardiac investigations within the scope of professional practice.
- To monitor appropriateness of clinical referrals, selecting most appropriate techniques to aid the clinical care pathway for the patient.
- To attend to patient needs and maintain the highest standards of patient care at all times, ensuring comfort and dignity of patient during procedures.
- To report clinical findings to the appropriate clinical staff in accordance with departmental protocol.
- To maintain high quality records and documentation.
- To provide advice and support to multidisciplinary personnel, this includes giving advice which may influence patient care/outcomes.
Skills:- Up-to-date degree level knowledge of a range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac physiology investigations.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to cardiac testing and research.
- Ability to monitor patients effectively during cardiac procedures.
- HCPC/AHCS/RCCP registered
- Familiarity with data analysis tools like R, Python, and SAS for research purposes desired.
