Job summary
Due to a recent service expansion, we are able to offer another Team Lead role in the Wellbeing Suffolk Service. This post will be working across Step 2 and Step 3. To best work in the existing team, post holders will need to be passionate, motivated, and inspirational leaders with a real drive to support the service goals.

The Team Lead position provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong clinical background in mental health and a good understanding of the challenges of working in Primary Care as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist or Mental Health Practitioner.

As a service, we offer a range of psychological, employment and community interventions across Suffolk. At Step 2 this includes high volume evidence-based practice in the form of one-to-one guided self- help, predominantly delivered by telephone, psycho-educational groups and computerised CBT. At Step 3 we offer individual and group CBT, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Couples Therapy for Depression, Counselling for Depression and EMDR.

You will be offered robust supervision and access to the NSFT Leadership Academy, providing opportunities for Coaching, Mentorship and Leadership training. The Service has strong links with the University of East Anglia and a keen interest in research at all steps.

Please note there will be an expectation of working on site for 2-3 days per week.

Job responsibilities
Wellbeing Suffolk delivers NHS Talking Therapies and is currently benchmarked in the top three NHS Talking Therapies Services in the country with workforce surveys evidencing high morale. The service was recently awarded continuation to deliver the Talking Therapies contract for a further five years, with a potential to extend for a further 5 years. This award builds on existing strengths to deliver the new model launched agreed in September 2024, so, a very exciting time to be joining the service.

Qualification
Essential
  • Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Qualification
  • Or Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and BABCP Accredited. Or Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and BACP Accredited. Or Nursing degree or equivalent or Dip OT or Core Profession
  • Or Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and BACP Accredited.
  • Or Nursing degree or equivalent or Dip OT or Core Profession

Desirable
  • ILM certificate in management or equivalent

Experience
Essential
  • Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
  • Experience in providing leadership in a mental health care environment

Desirable
  • Experience of working within a primary care setting.

  • Effective analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
