Job summaryThe available post for a Clinical Fellow in Department of Medicine for Older People (DMOP) is an opportunity to join the growing, dynamic DMOP team at Halton Hospital. You will be based in the DMOP footprint and have the opportunity to work as part of a diverse innovative team, always striving to improve patient care. The fixed term post will offer opportunities for personal development by encouraging development of leadership skills and participation in quality improvement projects. During your placement your training and development will also be mapped to the Internal Medicine Training scheme.
Main duties of the job- Daily ward rounds- both independent and consultant led
- Supporting more junior members of the team
- Clerking new patients
- Reviewing patients in clinics (with consultant supervision where appropriate)
- Liaising with colleagues in primary care and hospital specialties
- Managing acutely unwell patients, and cardiac arrests.
