Job SummaryNorth Swindon Practice is looking for a Salaried GP (6-8 sessions) to join our busy but supportive GP Practice serving circa. 20,000 patients.
- 15 mins appointments, 12 patients per session
- Supportive, experienced clinical and management team
- Training practice with strong mentorship and learning culture
- Strong MDT including nurse practitioners, pharmacists, visiting paramedic and ARRS roles
- NHS Pension, 7 weeks leave (6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave)
- CPD, appraisal and revalidation fully supported
Main duties of the jobProvide comprehensive, patient centred medical care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of health conditions. Conduct consultations in person, by phone, or online, and develop appropriate management plans. Prescribe and review medications, arrange investigations, and refer patients to specialist services where needed. Promote health education and preventative care, while maintaining accurate and up to date clinical records. Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality, safe, and effective care

Job responsibilitiesProvide high quality, patient centred primary care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. Deliver consultations via face to face, telephone, and digital platforms, and develop appropriate management plans. Prescribe medications, request and interpret investigations, and make referrals to secondary care where required. Promote health and wellbeing through preventative care and patient education. Maintain accurate clinical records and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care
Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Experience of working in primary care/general practice
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Good organisational, time management, and IT skills
- Understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding responsibilities
Desirable- Experience with SystmOne
- Teaching, training, or mentoring experience
- Involvement in quality improvement or audit
QualificationsEssential- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register
- Licence to practise and evidence of ongoing CPD
Desirable- Experience of working within the NHS
- Interest in a clinical specialism or service development
