The post is open to any GP with full GMC registration. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced GP. Applicants must have MRCGP.
CLOSING DATE 24th July 2026Please note this is a fixed term contract.The following sessions will be required: Monday all day and Friday morning.The salary for a newly qualified GP will be £9,500 per session pro-rata. For a more experienced GP this will be dependent on experience and expertise.
Main duties of the jobIdeally we are looking for a GP who can work autonomously and who can competently undertake the following tasks:
- Face to face consultations / Telephone Consultations / Video Consultations
- Triage and signpost patients from Online Consultations
- Undertake home visits and care home visits when needed
- Approving of prescription requests
- Deal with relevant Docman / Emis tasks and other correspondence
- Referrals to secondary care and other providers
- Deal with non NHS work including private medical reports
- Supervise registrars/FY2s when needed
- Ideally to have a full clean driving licence for home visits
- Manage a duty-doctor day (responding to acute/urgent concerns safely)
