Main duties of the jobWe are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, forward thinking, caring individuals who are committed to providing a high standard of safe quality patient care.
As you will be delivering hands on patient care within our adult in-patient clinical areas, we are looking for excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with members of the public and the hospital multidisciplinary team.
You will need to:- Be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks, which can last a number of weeks and includes a medical and criminal record check
Main duties:- Patient care and personal hygiene
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Patient observations
- Fluid balance monitoring
- Stoma and wound manager care
- 1:1 supervision
- Mealtime assistance
The role is part time hours. Person SpecificationTraining & QualificationsEssential- GCSE Maths and English (Grades A-C/Levels 4-9) or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualification/experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
- Evidence of completion and assessment of Care Certificate and HCA Academy
- Evidence of clinical skills
Knowledge & ExperienceEssential- Previous experience in a caring role within a health or social care setting
Communication and Relationship SkillsEssential- Demonstrate clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and Judgement SkillsEssential- Understand the importance of instructions and written procedures
Planning and Organisation SkillsEssential- Demonstrate an ability to deliver care and prioritise work under the supervision of a Registered Healthcare professional
Physical SkillsEssential- Ability to perform clinical skills, manual handling procedures and use of clinical equipment
