Job summaryAre you a qualified mental health professional seeking a new challenge with more ownership and an opportunity to develop? A full-time opportunity has arisen to join the community CAMHS team for South Oxfordshire. We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join a multi-discipline team who support children and young people with moderate to severe mental illness. This would be a great role for someone with excellent band 5 experience who is ready for their next step up to a band 6 role or someone already at a band 6 role wanting to broaden their experience.
Main duties of the job- Collaboratively assess, plan and provide evidence-based treatment programmes for children and young people referred to the Oxfordshire CAMHS Getting More Help team.
- Take responsibility for an agreed clinical caseload, involving key working and providing therapeutic interventions.
- Develop and maintain relevant and evidence-based therapeutic activities as appropriate to the patient's needs.
- Work closely with a range of agencies including, social care, schools, other CAMHS teams, to meet the needs of children and young people to work collaboratively to develop/provide integrated services.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Qualification either RMN/OT/Social Work
Desirable- Higher education such as masters
ExperienceEssential- Experience of working within mental health settings including working with Children and Young People
Desirable- Direct experience of working within CAMHS
KnowledgeEssential- Knowledge and experience of assessing mental illness and providing treatment
Desirable- Enhanced knowledge of specific treatments within CAMHS and experience in implementing these in practice
