Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit a Lead DBT Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time/37.5 Hours role.

We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders. The Role

You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients. Supported by a compassionate team of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, nurses, and mental health professionals committed to your well-being. Minimum Requirements
The DBT Lead Therapist role requires a clinician who meets the minimum standard of having completed Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Foundation Training accredited by British Isles DBT Training. This ensures a core level of competency in DBT principles, including skills training, individual therapy structure, and adherence to the DBT model. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a sound understanding of DBT theory and practice, with the ability to apply this within a clinical setting, support the delivery of DBT-informed interventions, and contribute to maintaining model fidelity within the service. In addition, the post holder will be supported and expected to undertake further professional development whilst in post, including progression to Intensive DBT training, in order to strengthen clinical expertise, enhance leadership capability, and support the ongoing development and quality assurance of the DBT programme.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a highly specialist therapeutic service for individuals requiring DBT intervention. This position involves significant leadership responsibilities, including supporting the ongoing development and growth of the DBT service at Priory Hospital Roehampton. The post holder will ensure program fidelity and team adherence by guiding colleagues across various treatment modes. Additionally, they will be responsible for tracking client progress through outcome measures and liaising with primary therapists to support continuous and successful service improvement.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates must have a primary background as either a CBT Therapist or an Integrative Therapist. This position is a leadership role at Priory and during the interview process we will be assessing candidates against our leadership behaviours.
