We currently treat patients with solid and haemato-oncology cancers. If you are a registered nurse band 5 or band 6 who have completed your SACT training want flexibility and support the team to deliver SACT treatment we would like to invite you to apply for this post to support the team in delivering compassionate, care to this group of patients.
we are a busy 16-chair unit, and we are looking for individuals to support to continually improve our service.
We will expect you to be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of a group of patients in a team setting, providing safe, effective, evidence-based care with opportunities to self develop and have access to training opportunities.

Person SpecificationEducation- Evidence of post-registration education/qualification relevant to specialty
- Mentorship qualification
- Completion of recognized SACT course or UKONS SACT passport
- First level registration
- First level degree in nursing or working towards

Experience- Significant post registration experience of working in an acute hospital setting
- Evidence of experience in conducting quality audits
- Experience in the administration of cytotoxic therapy Cannulation and phlebotomy skills
- Evidence of skills in managing junior staff
- Good knowledge of hematological and oncological disorders
- Experience of co-mentoring and assessing student nurses on placement
- Working within an Oncology setting.
- An understanding of nursing issues in relation to nursing patient with cancer.
