Job summaryAre you a compassionate, motivated nurse looking to develop your career in ophthalmology? We're looking for an Ophthalmic Nurse Injector and Triage Nurse to join our dedicated Ophthalmology team.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, working alongside experienced Consultant Ophthalmologists, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
What you'll be doingYou'll lead our nurse-led intravitreal (IVT) injection clinics, caring for patients receiving treatment for Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and other retinal conditions. You'll also support the triage of ophthalmic emergency patients, working closely with the specialist nursing team to ensure timely assessment and appropriate management.
Your clinical expertise, attention to detail and sound judgement will be key to delivering safe, compassionate care.
You'll work closely with a named Consultant Ophthalmologist, who will provide clinical support before IVT injections are administered, ensuring safe and effective treatment.

QualificationsEssential- Registered Nurse Adult with valid NMC registration or suitable alternative Ophthalmic qualification.
Desirable- Nursing study degree or Ophthalmic equivalent
- Evidence of post registered Ophthalmic education
- Working towards Non medical prescribers qualification or willing to undertake
- Consent Course
Further TrainingEssential- Commitment to professional development and education

ExperienceEssential- Evidence of post registered experience of Ophthalmology
- Experience of moving and handling patients
