Out-of-hours working is undertaken 1:12, including overnight (non-resident) and weekend (both resident and non-resident) sessions. Middle-grade cover is provided 8am - 8pm, 7 days per week.

Peritoneal Dialysis care provision will be an integral part of the role and therefore candidates with particular interest in PD are warmly encouraged to apply. Outpatient clinics are spread across our 3 sites (Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull), involvement with sub-speciality clinics (including Hypertension, Advanced Kidney Care) may be available for interested and experienced candidates. Procedural sessions (including biopsy/line supervision, PD tube placement) may be available for interested and experienced candidates.

Our unit is research active, with participation in a wide selection of topic areas. Educational and Clinical supervision is supported by all departmental colleagues. Participation in our weekly educational meetings, M+M, Renal biopsy and other meetings is expected, as part of our commitment to excellence in patient care.
