Job summaryThe Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at UHD are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Speciality Doctor in Trauma.
This is an exciting time to join as we are currently making great progress with a vision in creating a first class fully integrated Trauma and Orthopaedic Service within our Bournemouth and Poole Hospital sites as part of the new University Hospitals Dorset.
Main duties of the job- Working alongside our existing specialty doctors and registrars to provide care to inpatients including new admissions
- Supervision and support of junior medical colleagues, Physicians Associates and Advanced Nurse Practitioners/Advanced Clinical Practitioners
- Maintaining continued professional development
- Attending multidisciplinary meetings
- Attending and contributing to educational sessions and Clinical Governance meetings
- Partaking in departmental Quality Improvement work
- Participating in the hospital appraisal process as part of on-going professional development
Weekend working will be expected in this role.
