Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Band 6 Physiotherapy rotation based at Queen's Hospital Burton, Sir Robert Peel and Samuel Johnson Community Hospitals.
The post holder will participate in the senior rotational scheme which involves working in a range of clinical settings as determined by the needs of the physiotherapy service. This is therefore a great opportunity to advance on learnt Band 5 skills whilst developing leadership exposure and knowledge.
The post holder will perform physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological condition, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver and individualised treatment programme.
You will be required to work as part of the Respiratory on-call service following an induction programme. The team work across 7 days and evenings through a rota system.
Main duties of the jobRotational opportunities will include Emergency Medicine (including Frailty), Acute Medicine, Respiratory, Stroke, Orthopaedics, Discharge Assessment Unit and Rehabilitation Wards- To support the Team Leaders in day-to-day management of the team
- To assess and treat own patient caseload, and maintain associated records.
- To perform physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological condition, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver and individualised treatment programme.
- To hold responsibility for own caseload, working without direct supervision. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences. Access to advice and support from a senior physiotherapist is available if required, clinical work is not routinely evaluated.

- HCPC registered
DesirableExperienceEssential- To have gained a broad prospective of physiotherapy in/out patient treatments within a hospital setting
- Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
