Job summary
Washway Road Medical Centre is looking for a proactive, motivated and caring Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover. We are looking for a 4 session GP covering Monday's and Tuesday's (with the potential for a longer term role following the maternity cover).

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a forward-thinking training practice, serving a diverse patient population.

Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will deliver effective care to our population whilst adhering to high clinical standards. They will prescribe in accordance to local and national guidelines. The individual will have great time management skills to ensure that administration tasks such as referrals, prescriptions and other admin is undertaken in a timely manner. Attention to detail is key to ensure accurate record keeping in accordance with policy and guidelines.

Our surgery is made up of 6 Partners, 8 salaried GP's, 9 (Nurses, NA & HCA's), Physicians Assistant and our own in house Pharmacist.

Job responsibilities

• Working 4 sessions per week on a Monday & Tuesday
• Duty doctor on a rotational basis
• Pre-booked clinics using EMIS and Accrux for triage and messaging. Consulting with patients both F2F and via telephone.
• Home visits as required
• Issuing and signing repeat prescriptions and all associated admin tasks such as lab results and processing referrals.
• We give protected time for clinical meetings, professional development and special interests.
