Job summary
Willowbrook Medical Practice is seeking a motivated, patient-centred Salaried GP to join our supportive and forward-thinking team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established training practice with a strong reputation for high-quality care, teamwork, and clinical support. The post is ideal for both newly qualified and experienced GPs seeking a well-supported, flexible role within a collaborative environment.

We have potential flexibility around start date and number of sessions.

Main duties of the job
About the role
  • 4, 5 or 6 sessions per week (days flexible by agreement preferably including Thu & Fri)
  • Typical session: ~14 - 15 patient contacts (mix of face-to-face and telephone) with structured admin time built into the session
  • Home visits shared across the team, with support from multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Duty system supported by GP team and wider MDT
  • Use of SystmOne clinical system

You will undertake the full range of GP duties, including consultations, clinical decision-making, prescription management, and clinical administration.

We are a GMS training practice serving over 12,000 patients, with a stable and experienced multidisciplinary team including GP partners, registrars, ANPs, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and skilled nursing and administrative staff.

Person Specification
Experience
Essential
  • Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date
  • Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety
  • Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable
  • Team player with a positive outlook
  • GP trainer would be an advantage
  • Possible interest in womens health, contraception and family planning
  • Full driving licence
  • Ideally located in a reasonable travel distance to the Practice with a full driving licence

Qualifications
Essential
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation, when appropriate
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
