Job summaryAre you a registered Nurse Associate? Wanting a challenging new career? We are recruiting Nurse Associates to join our community nursing service in Kingston.
Working with a team of nurses and District Nurse Leads you will be independently visiting clients in their own home to deliver care. You will need to have a range of skills including wound care, catheterising, venepuncture and skin management.
This is a permanent post and is for 37.5 hrs per week. The usual working hours are 08.30-16.30 and will be Monday Sunday, working 1 weekend every 3 weeks. A late shift of 11.00-19:00 is also worked approx. every 2 weeks. This role will be required to work weekends & unsocial hours
Your base will be Hollyfield House although you will also need to be able to travel independently to patients homes.

QualificationsEssential- Foundation Degree in Nursing.
- Trained Nursing Associate Registered with the NMC.
- Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code, and NMC Nursing Associate Standards of Proficiency.
- GCSE/Functional skills in English & Maths level 2
Desirable- Knowledge of Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance
ExperienceEssential- Understands the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development.
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help.
- Understand requirements for NMC professional revalidation
- Previous experience of working in a health care environment. Supporting people to improve and maintain their mental, physical, behavioural health and wellbeing
Desirable- Experience of working within the community setting.
Skills & AbilitiesEssential- Ability to provide quality care that is responsive to clients needs
- Good verbal, written and Interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective team worker.
- Approachable and flexible.
- Computer skills including use of email, Microsoft office and video calling systems
- Ability to prioritise within a frequent changing environment and manage time
- Requirement to work a shift system to deliver services across all shifts 7 days per week.
