Description

Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic podiatrist to join our friendly, progressive and supportive podiatry team. This role is designed to offer a podiatrist the opportunity to continue to build and maintain their clinical skillset within a structured and supported environment across the whole podiatry service.

The podiatry service operates mainly from a central hub at Surbiton Health Centre where we operate a multi-chair clinic alongside several other community-based health services. This ensures that all podiatrists in the team are very well supported and can access multidisciplinary working across other health professions such as lower limb and physiotherapy. This offers a unique learning opportunity across our community health services. We work closely with our district nursing and tissue viability colleagues ensuring our patients receive multidisciplinary care delivered in the community.

Working within this setting means you will never be working alone. Combined with a preceptorship, there will be quarterly one to ones, clinical supervision sessions, interdepartmental meetings, protected time for continued professional development and annual appraisal. Our service covers nail surgery under local anaesthesia, biomechanics with orthoses provision, core podiatry and high-risk foot care with wound care. Our biomechanics service is fortunate to be able to offer shockwave therapy and presents a further opportunity to the successful candidate with rotation through all our podiatry specialisms.

Main duties of the job
As part of the induction into this role, the successful candidate will have a funded training opportunity of up to the value of £800 to allow them to complete The Foot in Diabetes Module provided by the Royal College of Podiatry. This training supports the development of knowledge and clinical skills in the management of patients with diabetes and high-risk foot conditions.

As part of ongoing professional development within Your Healthcare CIC, there may also be opportunities for the successful candidate to gain experience working within the organisations private podiatry services. Your Podiatry offers a range of modern treatment technologies including Lunula Laser Therapy and Swift Microwave Therapy offering a unique experience to the successful applicant in how a private practice operates whilst undertaking an NHS position.

We encourage interested clinicians of all experience levels to contact Joanne Clark, Podiatry Lead on 0208 399 7111 or email joanne.clark@yourhealthcare.org with any questions you may have.

This is a permanent post for 37.5 hours per week. The usual working hours are 08.30 to 17.00 Mon Fri with no weekend duty.

You will be based at Surbiton Health Centre which has nearby free parking and is a 10-minute walk from Surbiton railway station.

CLOSING DATE: 24/09/2026
