Are you a friendly, people-focused individual who enjoys helping others? Meanwood Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our welcoming team and play a key part in delivering excellent service to our local community.

As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you'll help create a warm, professional atmosphere where people feel cared for and supported with their health and wellbeing needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service at the counter
• Advise on over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products within your remit, referring to the pharmacist when needed
• Process sales accurately and handle till transactions
• Receive and hand out prescriptions in line with pharmacy procedures
• Keep the shop floor tidy, well-stocked and attractively presented
• Support the wider pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks as required
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all relevant policies and procedures

What we're looking for:

• A positive, approachable manner and genuine desire to help people
• Strong communication skills and the ability to listen carefully to customer needs
• A reliable, organised approach with good attention to detail
• The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
• Previous experience in retail, customer service or a pharmacy setting is welcome, but not essential — full training will be provided
• Willingness to complete the Medicines Counter Assistant course if not already qualified
• Flexibility, as this role does include Saturdays
