Join the friendly team at Blackthorn Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and delivering excellent care to the local community. Working closely with the wider pharmacy team, you'll be the welcoming face our customers see when they walk through the door, ensuring their experience is smooth, professional and reassuring.

Key responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers at the counter with a friendly, helpful manner
• Accurately dispense and label prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Receive, check and store deliveries of medicines and stock
• Maintain accurate records and ensure the dispensary is clean, tidy and well-organised
• Handle sales of over-the-counter medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist when appropriate
• Support with general administrative tasks and day-to-day running of the pharmacy

What we're looking for:

• A warm, approachable manner and genuine commitment to customer care
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures carefully
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with the public
• A reliable, team-oriented approach and willingness to learn
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
• A relevant pharmacy qualification (such as NVQ Level 2) would be an advantage, though training can be provided for the right candidate
