Job summary
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Urology to join the team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. This full-time post will be based primarily at our new Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital, with additional cross-site responsibilities at Queen's Hospital.

This post is equivalent to a registrar (ST3+ level) service post with independent on-call responsibility under consultant supervision. The service will support the appointee in their career progression, with particular focus on meeting the clinical criteria for CCT.

The successful applicant will join a motivated and expanding team and will be expected to complement the existing workforce, working closely with clinical and managerial colleagues to support the reduction of waiting lists and the delivery of high-quality core urology and stone services

Main duties of the job
Under consultant supervision contribute to the clinical care of patients in their charge and for the proper functioning of the department.

Deliver a high quality responsive surgical service to the patients who use it within agreed competencies

Independently perform emergency procedures including ureteric stent insertion, suprapubic catheterisation and scrotal exploration under consultant supervision

Education Qualifications

• MBBS and Full registration with GMC

• Other Higher degree or diploma

Skills Abilities

• Experience managing acute urology admissions

• Familiar with current structure of Health Service and conversant with recent initiatives

• Minimum 2 years urology experience (or equivalent ST3+)
