Main duties of the jobAs a General Practice Nurse, you will work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care. Duties include health promotion, childhood and adult immunisations, travel health, lifestyle advice, cervical cytology, venepuncture, specimen management, wound care, dressings, injections, suture removal, ear irrigation, ECGs and management of minor illness within competence. You will support minor surgery clinics, maintain accurate NMC-compliant records, contribute to audits and quality improvement, uphold infection prevention standards, and identify and escalate safeguarding concerns. Flexibility to work across Beacon Medical Group sites is required.
What We're Looking ForEssential- Current NMC registration (RGN).
- Experience in primary care, community nursing or general practice.
- Strong clinical assessment, patient care and communication skills.
- Competence in immunisations, venepuncture and wound management.
- Understanding of safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical governance.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-focused care.
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites.
Desirable- Cervical cytology qualification.
- Travel health qualification and experience.
- Chronic disease management experience.
- Independent Prescriber qualification.
- Experience using GP clinical systems.

Job responsibilitiesYou will be working as a General Practice Nurse providing a high level of care for patients in accordance with the guidelines of the UKCC Code of Professional Practice and the Scope of Professional Conduct.
This is a varied role and will be based across our six GP practices.
