Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic CBT Therapist to join EPUT's perinatal psychological services for mothers, birthing people and their infants. The Perinatal Mental Health Service (PMHS) provides high quality maternal mental health and wellbeing support and intervention to mothers, birthing people and their infants across Essex.
Main Duties of the JobPerinatal Psychology is a flourishing and exciting field to work in. We would welcome those who have an interest and are looking to develop their skills in perinatal approaches. There will significant opportunities to develop your specialist CBT skills and experience as well as consultation skills. Staff wellbeing is also highly valued and we are looking for candidates with experience of wellbeing initiatives to support the PMHS staff as they manage highly challenging caseloads with complex risk and safeguarding issues.
You will be expected to contribute to the development of Perinatal Psychology both within the trust and externally through attendance at CPD and network events. Participation in research and audit will be encouraged. You will be encouraged to develop a specialist clinical interest and continued professional development is strongly supported.
You will join a Psychology Directorate that has had significant investment and is led by a Clinical Director of Psychological Services providing robust governance and support of enthusiastic and diverse teams of Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists, CBT therapists, and family systemic psychotherapists.

- Experience of MDT working
Desirable- oExtensive experience of working with difficult, complex and challenging cases of families requiring skilled and complex interventions.
- o Experience of liaising and fostering good working relationships with providers of mental health services.
KnowledgeEssential- oKnowledge of psychological therapies when working with perinatal presentations
Desirable- oKnowledge of psychological and psychotherapeutic therapies and their application when working with trauma presentations
