Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Physiotherapist to provide a highly specialised service for staff across Frimley Health. This is a new and exciting opportunity to develop a joint Physiotherapy and Occupational Health service for staff delivering safe, evidence-based care, support staff wellbeing, and contributing to service development, quality improvement and education.

It will allow you to use advanced clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment skills to support staff with a range of acute, chronic and complex musculoskeletal presentations.

There is support available for you to complete the Occupational Health CSP training course and you will join the regular department In-service training programme.

This role is expected to lead the Occupational Health physiotherapy service, specific working arrangements, site base and job plan will be confirmed as part of the recruitment process.

Main duties of the job
What you will do:

• Provide highly specialised assessment, diagnosis and treatment for staff with complex clinical needs.
• Manage an autonomous caseload, prioritising clinical need and maintaining accurate, comprehensive records in line with professional and Trust standards.
• Use advanced analytical, investigative and manual therapy skills to support staff recovery, function and self-management.
• Provide expert advice, guidance, education and exercise instruction to staff and relevant professionals.
• Work collaboratively with Occupational Health, Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, research and quality improvement activity to support service development.
• Support training, supervision and education for physiotherapy staff and students where appropriate.
• Engage with relevant Trust and departmental meetings and contribute to equitable service provision across sites.
• Able to promote clinical governance, safe practice and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Essential

• Physiotherapy Degree
• Evidence of relevant post graduate CPD

Desirable

• Member of the relevant clinical interest groups

Experience
Essential

• Worked in the NHS or equivalent and familiar with the NHS system
• Previous experience of working as a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist within the NHS

Desirable

• Previous experience working as a Band 7 Physiotherapist
• Previous experience working within an acute hospital setting

Skills and Knowledge
Essential

• Able to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Evidence of leading and participating in audit.
• Forward and innovative thinking
