Job SummaryAs an Occupational Health Nurse you will provide OH clinical support to the development of the OH Service. You will work proactively to support the Nurse Manager in the delivery of a high quality Occupational Health service by working autonomously to provide a comprehensive range of clinical services required under the six NHS OH core services of prevention, timely intervention, rehabilitation, health assessments for work, promotion of health & well-being and teaching & training to staff of Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust (KGH) and external businesses.
Main duties of the jobWe are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the existing clinical team in Occupational Health. The role will encompass pre-placement health screening, venepuncture, the administration of vaccinations, health surveillance following contamination incidents, industrial health surveillance such as audiometry and spirometry etc. as required. You will be an NMC Registered Nurse, with experience in NHS Occupational Health setting. An interest in the specialty and knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing would be desirable. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, have excellent communication and team working skills and have the ability to manage your own workload. You must have demonstrable experience and proven knowledge in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Outlook) - full training will be given regarding our specialist Occupational Health IT system. We are now a paper light environment and therefore the role will have a substantial amount of computer-based work. You may be required to travel to other locations and transport equipment off-site therefore own transport and independent mobility is essential.
