Central Norfolk Youth Mental Health Service who work with adolescents and young adults age of 14 to 25 years old. (Moving to 18 - 25 over the coming months)
Central Norfolk CFYP has dedicated a lot time and effort to develop youth pathway. Clinical Treatment Pathways are in place.
Community Team Leader for
Central Youth South, will work along side the Clinical Team Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialist supporting clinical and operational leadership across the team
To provide visible leadership, promoting a values based culture and acting as a role model within the environment.
Supporting the leadership and management the team, helping ensure they are suitably trained, informed and competent to carry out the full range of duty and that there is a clear processes in place for regular and effective supervision, appraisal, objective setting and personal development planning.
Responsible for ensuring processes are in place to allocate new caseloads and efficient use of resources to ensure caseloads and the management of caseloads remain safe.
Providing advice and support to the clinical team in management of their cases
Ensuring care is delivered in a patient centred framework involving service users, families and carers.
Main duties of the jobTo ensure safe caring, responsive, high quality service is provided to service users, their families and carers within the clinical environment by ensuring compliance with Statutory and Regulatory requirements and Trust Policies, pathways, standard operating procedures and protocols.
They will allocate work accordingly within the team to ensure effective and efficient use of resources to ensure service users and carers needs are met, and monitor the team's contribution and performance to the overall objectives of the Trust.

- Evidence of leading service development within in a mental health setting
- Collaborative working between services and working in partnership with statutory and voluntary services.
Desirable- Experience in providing leadership in a mental health care environment.
- Working in a community mental health team.
KnowledgeEssential- Knowledge of medication and the monitoring of its effects.
- Build on/develop further knowledge of psychosocial interventions and their appropriateness.
- Build on/develop further specialist knowledge of health promotion
SkillsEssential- Develop and lead an age-inclusive multi-professional team and provide ongoing operational, clinical and managerial supervision
- Develop recovery-focused practice
- Establish performance management team structures and systems
QualificationsEssential- RMN, Dip SW, Dip OT or equivalent
Desirable- Ongoing professional development working towards degree level
- Higher degree or post-graduate certificate in area of clinical / therapeutic practice
- Post-basic teaching Qualification
- ILM certificate in management or equivalent
