Job summary
The post holder will provide support in a variety of outpatient clinics, working as part of a team to ensure the effective running of the outpatient department. The post holder will maintain professional registration through the revalidation process. Provide effective input into the work of the Trust, to support the achievement of our vision and values.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver high standards of care to patients and their families, ensuring excellent patient experience. In particular, take responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care to a group of patients. The post holder will participate in the daily management of the department when required, ensuring smooth and efficient running in the absence of the manager. They will take responsibility for their own self-development helping to provide a suitable learning environment and high standards of clinical practice. To recognise own limitations and seek advice and support from senior staff. The post holder will be an advocate for compliance with Trust values, policies and providing the Best Possible Care.

  • Educated to Degree/Diploma level or equivalent level of education, training or experience
  • Evidence of commitment to revalidation as per NMC requirements

  • Experience of delivering nursing care to a group of patients

  • Demonstration of team working and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Demonstrate an ability to prioritise own workload and recognise, prioritise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
