Job summary
The Triage Clinician is responsible for assessing and prioritising adult and paediatric patients presenting with minor illness or injury. The role involves providing appropriate advice and signposting, identifying patients requiring immediate medical attention, and ensuring they receive timely and effective clinical review while working closely with the multidisciplinary team

Main duties of the job

• Assess and prioritise adult and paediatric patients presenting with minor illness and/or injury.
• Perform initial clinical assessments and record vital signs.
• Use the Australasian Triage Score to support safe patient prioritisation.
• Provide appropriate clinical advice and signposting to other services.
• Maintain the safety of patients awaiting assessment and recognise/escalate clinical concerns promptly.
• Support adult and child safeguarding processes.
• Work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
• Participate in clinical audit, governance, research and service improvement.
• Complete mandatory and role-specific training and contribute to the training and development of colleagues.

Are you an experienced registered clinician with strong triage skills and a passion for delivering safe, responsive care?

At OneMedical Group, we are looking for a confident and compassionate Triage Clinician to assess adult and paediatric patients presenting with minor illness and injury. You will identify clinical urgency, provide appropriate advice and signposting, and help ensure each patient receives timely care based on their individual needs.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary urgent care team, you will use your clinical judgement and communication skills to prioritise patients safely, recognise deterioration and escalate concerns promptly.

You will also help maintain the safety and wellbeing of patients while they are waiting to be seen.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Triage Clinician, you will provide an effective initial clinical assessment and ensure patients are prioritised, supported and directed to the most appropriate care pathway.

• Evidence of recent training and development or courses
