Main duties of the jobTo perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending the GP practices.
Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct, ensuring the safety of patients and the quality of their care is the focus. Deliver a balances mix of face-to-face, telephone and online consultations
Contribute to same-day urgent demand alongside the wider clinical team.
Review results, documents and tasks within agreed timeframes.
About usTrinity Medical Centre is CQC-rated Good, Established GP practice located in the centre of Littleborough, Rochdale, with excellent public transport links to both Leeds and Manchester. The practice provides comprehensive NHS primary care, including family planning, chronic disease management, and minor surgery, and is currently accepting new patients.
Job responsibilities- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health and promoting healthy lifestyle strategies and education.
- Deliver a balanced mix of face-to-face, telephone and online consultations
- Manage acute and chronic disease in line with practice protocols and QOF
- Contribute to same-day urgent demand alongside the wider clinical team
- Review results, documents and tasks within agreed timeframes
- Work collaboratively with the MDT, PCN colleagues and external services
- Support the practice's training role where appropriate
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Inclusion on the National Medical Performers List for England
- MRCGP or equivalent or CCT in General Practice
- Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to general practice e.g. diabetes, women's health, minor surgery, dermatology

ExperienceEssential- Experience of NHS general practice including GP training
- Experience managing a full range of acute and chronic presentations in primary care

- Experience working within a multidisciplinary primary care team
