Main duties of the jobTo provide professional pharmacist support and expertise while rotating within Clinical, Technical, Dispensary and Medicines Information services.
The role is based at Royal Cornwall Hospital. We have a full programme of training and development which is tailored to meet your individual needs and is supported by experienced and specialist pharmacists. As part of your rotation, you will gain experience in surgery, acute medicine, trauma, emergency medicine, care of the elderly and medicine information.

- GPhC Registration (or pending).
Desirable- Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
ExperienceEssential- Trainee Year in either a hospital or GP completed (or pending).
- Experience of working with patients either in a hospital or community environment
Desirable- Clinical supervision of junior staff.
- Experience of working in the NHS.
Practical/Intellectual SkillsEssential- Good general pharmaceutical and clinical knowledge
- Good written and oral communication skills and able to communicate effectively with clinical staff, parents and relatives in English.
- Able to prioritise work and work under pressure
- Able to utilise PCs and work with common application software (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email and internet).
Desirable- Presentation skills
- Audit skills.
