Job summaryWe are looking for Education Leads based in the North; likely base stations currently Bristol (BNSSG) or Bridgwater (Somerset). We are also looking for successful candidates to enter a pool of people across all counties.
To enable SWAST staff to deliver of high quality pre-hospital patient care by providing innovative, efficient and effective in-service training and education. This may include delivery in the classroom setting and/or in the workplace to individuals and groups of staff.
Provide proactive and dynamic leadership, acting as an educational figurehead, promoting high quality patient care, examination and assessment, values and appropriate care pathways.
Main duties of the jobTo carry out a comprehensive variety of training duties, as required by the Head of Education and Education management team. The focus of the Education Lead will be on delivering high quality classroom and work-based learning and assessment as appropriate, recognising individual learning needs and ensuring learning is accessible.

Person SpecificationEducation and QualificationsEssential- Relevant BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent
- Registered Clinician
- Significant post-registration experience as a Registered Health Care Professional
- Teaching qualification - Cert Ed / PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification OR AET and working towards level 5 teaching qualification (or above)
- Minimum Level 6 or working towards Clinical Supervision qualification
- Minimum Level 6 or working towards Mentorship qualification
- ALS Provider
Desirable- ALS Instructor
- PHTLS Instructor
- Management or Clinical Leadership qualification
- Working towards post-graduate level qualification such as MSc
- Level 7 mentorship qualification
