Job summarySENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW - fixed term for 12 monthsFrailty MedicineWe are excited to be able to recruit to a Senior Clinical Fellow post.We are looking for proactive, a forward thinking and dynamic individual to join our growing Frailty Team.Senior Clinical Fellow post is for 40 hours per week. This posts are included in the Frailty Team 7 day rota. There are no GIM on-call commitments although they can be added on an ad-hoc or rota basis if desiredYou will work alongside an experienced Consultant, Middle Grade, Junior medical staff, ACPs, and Physician Associates as well as a n experienced multi-disciplinary team.Main duties of the job- Clinical responsibility for assisting in the investigation, diagnosis and treatment, under consultant supervision, of patients in ED, FSDEC, AFU, CDU etc.
- Expected to attend consultant ward rounds; present cases, and discuss the differential diagnosis and management; carry out appropriate practical skills with patients.
- Responsible for maintaining a full clinical record of patients admitted to the ward; required to produce a written summary of the admission at the time of discharge; will participate in audit data collection, and attend clinical governance / audit meetings.
- Provide middle grade support to the junior medical team.
