Job summaryWe are looking for a friendly and motivated Salaried GP to join our supportive and forward-thinking team at Tanworth in Arden Medical Practice for 4-6 sessions per week; working days are negotiable and inclusive of Fridays.
Tanworth in Arden is a picturesque rural village located in Warwickshire; situated 12.5 miles southeast of Birmingham, 8 miles southwest of Solihull and 5.5 miles northeast of Redditch. Established 2021, the Practice is situated within private off road premises with on site staff car parking facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming practice that values teamwork, high-quality patient care, and clinician wellbeing. Led by 3 GP Partners, we are a friendly team of clinical and non-clinical staff all working towards patient centred care; supporting continuity of care and effective workload management. You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, working closely with a range of ARRS staff. There are also opportunities to engage with wider initiatives through our involvement in Arden Primary Care Network.
Whilst this position is initially offered on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2027, there may be an opportunity to extend at the end of this periodCQC rated Good.

Main Duties of the Job- Deliver high-quality, safe, and effective general practice care
- Undertake routine and urgent consultations
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including ARRS roles such as Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Social Prescribers, Paramedic and Frailty Nurse
- Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement
- Participation in the Duty Doctor rota
- Attendance and participation in meetings encouraged
Job responsibilitiesCore Responsibilities- Consultations: delivery of 15minute appointments both face to face and telephone based consultations to assess, diagnose, and treat patients as needed.
- Prescribing & Medication: Issue acute and repeat prescriptions and interpret complex test results.
- Patient Referrals: Make autonomous decisions on when to refer patients to secondary care (hospitals) or other allied health professionals.
- Care Planning: Develop and monitor long-term care plans for chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, hypertension).
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, compile data for clinical audits, and review clinical correspondence.
- Broad clinical expertise to handle varied, unpredictable patient presentations.
- Time Management: The ability to make safe, accurate clinical decisions under pressure within standard 10-minute appointment slots.
- Communication: Exceptional bedside manner and active listening skills to address physical, emotional, and social factors of care.
- Supervision of GP Trainees and Medical Students within a clinical setting where required.
- Attendance and participation at meetings encouraged.
- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- GMC registered GP with licence to practise
